COCOSPACK Co., Ltd.

«Packaging is the first thing a customer touches. Here it is built in three months, not six»

Korean full-cycle cosmetic packaging manufacturer: tooling, injection, blow moulding, printing and assembly under one roof

About the company

COCOSPACK Co., Ltd. has been making packaging for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals since 2010. The company describes itself not as a container vendor but as a brand's partner: the "CO-" philosophy means development runs together with the client, from the first sketch to a batch ready to ship. Today that is more than 160 employees and three sites — the head plant in Hwaseong, a separate plant in Ujeong, and a sales centre with in-house R&D in Gwacheon.

The difference is that the whole cycle stays inside the company. Planning, structural design, mould making, injection moulding, blow moulding, printing, assembly and quality control are all done on their own equipment. That is why the path from sketch to a saleable batch takes two to three months instead of the industry-standard five to six, and why subcontracting and inter-plant logistics drop out of the cost.

The equipment: 47 injection moulding machines from 110 to 380 tonnes, 22 blow moulding machines, 30 printing systems, 16 labelling lines, 47 take-out robots and 16 assembly zones including eight conveyor lines. The company holds patents on functional packaging — fine-mist sprayers, dual-chamber mixing jars, vibrating applicators, a liquid stick — and works with PCR recycled plastic, PLA bioplastic and recyclable mono-materials.

Capabilities and manufacturing

Tooling in-house

A dedicated tooling team designs and corrects moulds on site. Complex geometry and revisions are handled without a subcontractor and without waiting.

Injection and blow moulding

47 injection machines from 110 to 380 tonnes and 22 blow moulding machines, including two-stage blow and in-mould injection blow moulding — which is what makes unusual bottle shapes possible.

Printing and finishing

22 UV printing machines and 8 hot-stamping machines, 16 labelling lines, anti-static systems across the floor.

Quality control

Formula compatibility, leakage and pump durability testing. Three leak-test rigs; the output passes the audits of global beauty brands.
