From machine building to cosmetics: why CUBE CAP shapes capsules of any form for your brand
CUBE CAP grew out of an encapsulation machine manufacturer: its own equipment, its own molds and shell raw materials. What this means for a brand ordering OEM/ODM.
For most cosmetics contract manufacturers, the production chain starts with purchased equipment. For Korea's CUBE CAP CO., LTD. it starts with the equipment itself: the company grew out of a machine-building business and entered cosmetics with its own encapsulation machines. For an OEM/ODM client this difference has practical consequences, outlined below.
The company's path
Since 2007 the company's predecessor, DCM KOREA, produced encapsulation lines for soft capsules. In 2011 it obtained venture company status and developed the T-150V machine for plant-based soft capsules. Then, according to the company: CUBE GROUP was formed in 2013, a new plant was built in 2014, in 2019 the company changed its name to CUBE GEL, and in 2024 the legal entity CUBE CAP CO., LTD. was registered along with a production site combining the manufacture of raw materials for plant-based shells (CBVM) and cosmetics production.
What in-house equipment provides
The plant's machine produces both plant-based and gelatin soft capsules, with process parameters set from a touch panel. The shell is prepared in a separate tank, followed by drum drying and a drying room with a mode designed for soft capsules. The entire process, from film to finished capsule, takes place at the company's site.
When a manufacturer has built its own line, it can reconfigure it for the client's task instead of fitting the order to the limitations of a purchased machine.
A capsule for your brand: shape, volume, color
Through its parent company CUBE GEL, the plant makes its own molds. The capsule shape, fill volume and color can therefore be set for a specific brand rather than chosen from a standard range. In the contract manufacturing market for capsule cosmetics, this capability is rare.
For a brand this is a way to get a recognizable product: a capsule of unusual shape distinguishes the product on the shelf more strongly than a label does.
What to order and how to verify
The company works in two modes: supplying the ready-made COCAPS line and contract manufacturing under the client's brand. The minimum order for finished products starts at 100 bottles, which makes it possible to test the format before a large run.
The CUBE CAP profile on the Teranova platform is compiled from the manufacturer's materials; the company's status is "Information provided by the company". We coordinate sample requests and terms on the buyer's side.
