BIOPT Co., Ltd. is a Korean company that develops and manufactures derma skincare under its own brand, VENDERMA. The brand name is built from the three words the company uses to describe its work: Vital, Effective, Necessary. The idea behind them is plain — give the skin exactly what it needs, and prove the result with testing rather than promises.
The company is led by Han Sang Hee. From January 2012 to October 2023 he was Executive Director of global product planning and overseas sales at DERMAFIRM Co., Ltd. According to the company, revenue there grew from 500 million KRW to 100 billion over those years, he took part in more than seventy international exhibitions, and he received the government export awards One Million Dollar Export Tower in 2017 and Fifty Million Dollar Export Tower in 2022.
BIOPT's own history began in 2024. In February the company opened a corporate research institute registered with the Korea Industrial Technology Association, and in March the first VENDERMA line appeared — Red Calming Cica Exosome, built on Centella exosomes. Sparassis crispa exosomes followed, and with them the anti-ageing line. The company holds ISO 9001, is certified as woman-owned, and has been officially recognised as a venture company since September 2025.
Product development is done in-house, while the raw material side is shared with OptBio Co., Ltd. — a bio-material producer working since October 2020 on a 20,000 m² site in Gangneung. The two companies are registered as joint inventors and file patents together.

Red Calming Cica Exosome
The brand's first line, launched in March 2024. It is aimed at skin prone to breakouts, redness and irritation; the company puts its buyer between 15 and just over 30. The formula rests on Centella exosomes, sulphur, Scutellaria baicalensis root extract, Houttuynia cordata and witch hazel, with four essential oils added: tea tree, lavender, eucalyptus and hinoki. Six products: a deep cleanser 150 ml, a toner essence 150 ml, a spot oil 10 ml, a two-week programme set, a soothing cream 50 ml and an SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen 50 ml. Several are vegan. According to the company the products passed suitability testing for acne-prone skin, and the cleanser recorded zero irritation in a sensitive-skin test.
EXO REJUVA Ultra Lifting
The anti-ageing line, built on Sparassis crispa exosomes and extract, gold and diamond colloids, five peptides and the ELA Biome fermented complex. The company recommends it for wrinkles, firmness and facial contour, including alongside device treatments — iontophoresis, EMS, electroporation and MTS. The line holds a serum 50 ml, a cream 50 ml and a gentle gel cleanser 100 ml; the serum and cream are vegan-certified.
EXO REJUVA Mela-C
The line for pigmentation and dullness, for melasma-prone and uneven skin. A Mela-C Power Serum 50 ml with niacinamide, a Mela-C PDRN Cream 50 ml, and the Diamond Glow Cushion 15 g with SPF 50+ PA++++ and gold and diamond colloids. The company's own trial figures are set out below, in the section on its approach.
ERI-Pro
A home-care device shaped after the traditional gua sha tool. One button switches three modes: EMS for facial muscle tone, electroporation to carry actives deeper, and galvanic current. It also works as a plain massager — for the face, the scalp and lymphatic drainage. The company suggests using it together with the Ultra Lifting serums.

Exosomes
Carrier vesicles that deliver actives into skin cells and protect them from breaking down on the way. The company works with two sources: Centella exosomes for the calming line and Sparassis crispa exosomes for the anti-ageing one.
Sparassis crispa
The mushroom known as cauliflower fungus. According to the company it holds the highest beta-glucan content among mushrooms — 43 per cent. In March 2025 a patent application was filed for a compound isolated from it which, the company states, supports antioxidant activity and collagen formation.
Peptides and fermented actives
Five peptides in the anti-ageing line, including acetyl hexapeptide-8. The ELA Biome fermented complex is drawn from seaweed, ginseng, mushroom, soy and rice put through controlled fermentation.
Gold and diamond colloids
According to the company the diamond colloid works as a delivery system carrying actives deeper into the skin, while the gold colloid raises conductivity — which is why the line is recommended together with device treatments.
In-house testing
The company backs its claims with clinical tests and publishes the figures. For the Mela-C line there were two separate tests. A four-week one: Korean participants aged 30 to 50 applied the Mela-C Power Serum with 5% niacinamide morning and evening; the pigmented area fell by 5.35% after two weeks and by 16.12% after four. A separate eight-week clinical test on twenty participants aged 30 to 50: hyperpigmentation improved by 20%, and the surrounding areas by 14%. For the Ultra Lifting serum and cream the company states wrinkle improvement of 120.23 and 122.53 per cent respectively. All figures are as declared by the company; testing conditions and protocols are requested at the deal stage.
