Artemisia AKA by Dr.SANTE: sebum-regulating care based on mugwort extract
Mugwort, LHA-SOL™, and niacinamide against oily shine and blemishes — how the Artemisia AKA line by Dr.SANTE for problem skin is built.
Oily, blemish-prone skin needs balance rather than aggressive degreasing. The Artemisia AKA line by Dr.SANTE is built around a high concentration of mugwort extract (67–72%) and the brand's signature actives.
Mugwort for problem skin
Mugwort (Artemisia) is a popular soothing ingredient in Korean skincare. According to research, its extracts calm irritation and also show antibacterial activity and can reduce sebum production, which matters for oily, acne-prone skin (clinical data are limited).
As with chamomile, mugwort should be introduced with caution in case of an allergy to plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family.
LHA-SOL™, AKA-DERM™, and niacinamide
The line combines mugwort with the signature LHA-SOL™ and AKA-DERM™ and with niacinamide. LHA (lipohydroxy acid) is a gentle lipophilic derivative of salicylic acid: it exfoliates delicately, closer to the skin's natural renewal, so it suits sensitive skin as well.
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) supports the protective barrier, helps regulate sebum, and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Composition of the line
Artemisia AKA includes a toner, an ampoule, and a cream in various volumes, the AKA Semi-Gel Mask, a gauze toner pad, and a BB cream. The ampoule contains 67% mugwort extract, the cream 72%.
The formats are designed for both everyday home care and in-office treatments for problem skin.
Who it suits
The line is aimed at oily, combination, and blemish-prone skin that needs sebum regulation without over-drying.
